Rajeev Chaudhary is a calligraphy and typography artist with over four decades of dedicated practice, known for transforming simple surfaces into bold, expressive compositions. He studied G.D. Art (Applied Art) at Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pashan, Pune, grounding his work in strong fundamentals of design and lettering. Rajeev is recognized for his artistic excellence, having received the G.D. ART Merit Award (1990) and the prestigious Sir W.N. Bhat First Prize for Calligraphy.
As the founder of RK Creations and Aksharrayan School of Calligraphy, Rajeev has conducted 100+ workshops across diverse mediums, from paper rolls and canvas to umbrellas, pottery, bamboo, and jute bags—his exploration of surfaces is virtually limitless. His initiatives, including large-scale public projects and socially engaged workshops, reflect his commitment to making calligraphy accessible, relevant, and deeply experiential.
Rajeev believes in entering a state of “flow,” letting the hand follow the heart without overthinking, and allowing the brand or idea to quietly guide each movement. Highly consistent yet endlessly experimental, he treats every new surface as an invitation, grounded in lifelong passion and a deep respect for the basics of the craft.
